One of the most challenging tasks for care teams to accomplish is oral care. Due to the difficulty of this ADL, oral care is often times unaccomplished. This leads to dental disease and can be the origin of several systemic diseases. This course will address how to work with challenging behaviors surrounding oral care, medical complications of poor oral health and individualized oral care plans.

Join us for this one-hour webinar to:

  1. Explain the role oral bacteria plays in acquiring aspiration pneumonia
  2. Describe how the care team can develop individualized oral care plans for residents
  3. Discuss techniques in achieving oral care with challenging residents

Presenter: Angela M. Stone, RDH, BS, HyLife, LLC, Edgerton, WI
